This is also us: The Auckland Jewellery Geeks

Picture
www.subliminalinfiltrations.blogspot.com

Since 2010, seven Auckland Jewellery Geeks have been ‘Subliminally Infiltrating’ contemporary jewellery, craft and fine art openings in and around Auckland in an effort to get their work out there and seen by a wider audience.

The Subliminal Infiltration project involves each ‘Geek’ wearing the work of that evening’s feature artist to a gallery opening.  The Geeks then mix and mingle in the crowd so that the appearance of multiple samples of one artist’s work catches the eye of the attendees, drawing attention to the work and initiating discussions about the Subliminal Infiltration. Each infiltration event is documented photographically and dialogue about the event is posted on our blog for all to see.
